Skin Boosters

Sunekos

In this ever-evolving digital world, our standards of beauty have changed. There’s a focus on always looking immaculate, youthful and flawless by filtering and altering the pictures we post online. At the same time, our busy, and often stressful, everyday lives diminish the vibrancy of the skin, making it appear tired and dull, causing it to prematurely age

We all want to take care of our skin but don’t always make the time. While filters still reign strong, more and more people want a natural appearance, a way to boost their skin’s smoothness, firmness and hydration, so they look and feel their best. Many people want to maintain a natural look but do not want ‘Botox’ or fillers.  The good news is, we‘ve got something to help in the form of ‘Skin Boosters’.

Sunekos is an injectable treatment containing amino acids and Hyaluronic acid. It works by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to produce new collagen and elastin and reduce premature skin ageing. Sunekos can be used on any kind of dermis and in different parts of the body such as: face, neck, décolleté and hands. Sunekos 200 is particularly effective in the area around the eyes to reduce dark circles and bags but is can also treat loss of tone, skin ageing, skin dryness, solar elastosis, sun damage and fine lines and wrinkles.

BELOTERO® REVIVE is a light injectable hyaluronic acid gel which also contains glycerol, a powerful hydrating agent. This fabulous product treats the early signs of sun damage as well as signs of ageing helping to reduce fine lines. REVIVE rehydrates dry skin, improves elasticity, firmness and skin softness. Reduces skin pigmentation (discoloration, often caused by sun exposure)

These are a non-surgical, injectable treatments. Prior to treatment the area to be treated is cleansed and a numbing cream applied.

Unlike other skin boosters which are only used just below the surface of the skin, BELOTERO® Revive and Sunekos can be injected at multiple levels in the skin, either with a needle or via a cannula. Following treatment the area is lightly massaged. The whole process takes around 45 minutes (including numbing time).  Best results are obtained from a course of treatments.

How quickly will I see results?

You will generally start to see improvement in hydration levels in your skin around 1-2 wks after 1st session

Does it hurt?

We apply a numbing cream to the treatment area for 20 minutes before treatment so the process is not painful although there may be minor discomfort as the product may sting a little.

How long does it last?

The results of improved skin hydration and reduced skin pigmentation last 6 to 9 months.  This may vary and does depend on factors such as the structure and condition of your skin, lifestyle factors and age.

Is it just one treatment?

Depending on the area that is being treated, protocol requires 3- 4 treatments at 2-4 week intervals.  We recommend repeating this twice a year. .

Is there any downtime?

The procedure has no downtime (although as with any injectable treatment there may be bruising and swelling) and the patient can immediately continue as normal.  On occasions there may be significant swelling in the under eye area.
