How the treatment works

Find out more about the ares treatment process and what you can expect at Rediscovered Skin Clinic.

01

Consultation

We assess how your muscles are moving, not just where lines sit, so we can treat the cause not just the symptom. Everything is tailored to keep you looking like you, just a little more refreshed.

02

Treatment Prep

Your skin is cleansed and prepped, and we talk you through exactly what we’re doing so there are no surprises. It’s quick, straightforward, and far less dramatic than people expect.

03

Treatment Process

Precise, tiny injections are placed into specific muscles to soften movement and prevent lines from deepening. The goal is natural, controlled results – not frozen, not obvious.

04

Aftercare

Minimal downtime, just a few simple do’s and don’ts for the rest of the day. Results start to appear within a week, with full effect at around 3-4 weeks.

What this treatment works well with

Ares works exceptionally well as part of a combined treatment approach to enhance overall skin health and rejuvenation. While Ares supports skin repair, hydration, and regeneration, chemical peels help to resurface and improve tone and clarity. Micro-needling and RF micro-needling stimulate collagen production to refine texture and firmness, while skin boosters deliver deep hydration and nourishment. Together, these treatments create smoother, stronger, and more radiant-looking skin. skin tone and texture.

FAQs

You will generally start to see improvement in hydration levels in your skin around 1-2 weeks after your first treatment. The best results come in the weeks following as your collagen network is rebuilt.

We can apply a numbing cream to the treatment area for 20 minutes before treatment so the process is not painful although there may be minor discomfort as the product can sting a little.

The results of improved skin hydration and reduced skin pigmentation last 6 to 9 months.  This may vary and does depend on factors such as the structure and condition of your skin, lifestyle factors and age.

The procedure has no downtime (although as with any injectable treatment there may be bruising and swelling) and the patient can immediately continue as normal.  On occasions there may be significant swelling in the under eye area.

As with all our treatments you will have a full consultation and medical history taken.  Treatment with skin boosters is not recommended in the following instances;
