Skin Tag Removal

Plasma bt is the machine we use to provide this highly innovative treatment used to eliminate skin blemishes and remove abnormal and unwanted tissue.

It uses plasma, a special form of a gas that has an electrical energy, to work throughout the skin from the epidermis deep into the dermis. The plasma causes a process called sublimation which turns a solid into a gas so results are instant with moles, skin tags and warts being removed in minutes.

How the treatment works

01

Consultation

We assess the lesion to confirm it’s suitable for treatment and safe to remove. If there’s ever any doubt, we’ll advise on next steps before proceeding.

02

Treatment Prep

The area is cleansed and numbed for comfort. We carefully mark the lesion to ensure precise, targeted treatment.

03

Treatment Process

A plasma device is used to safely treat the lesion at the surface of the skin, causing it to dry out and form a small crust. It’s quick, controlled, and highly targeted.

04

Aftercare

A small scab will form and naturally fall away over 5–10 days. It’s important not to pick, and to keep the area clean, protected, and out of the sun while it heals.

FAQs

Plasma is the 4th state of matter, after solid, liquid and gas. Essentially it’s a gas, in this case atmospheric, that is ionised (electrons removed through the application of energy). Plasma is common throughout the universe (and in plasma tv’s), but is not the same as plasma found in blood.

A local anaesthetic is used to numb the skin to minimise discomfort with many patients not feeling anything

Often no return clinic visits are necessary however the size and number of skin tags, moles or warts will impact on whether it takes a few sessions to obtain the desired results.

Following numbing treatments are generally limited to 20 minutes to avoid overheating the area of skin being worked on and we do what we can do safely within that time frame.

Results are often instant. Following the treatment your skin may be a little pink and can be mildly puffy for a day or so but quickly settles to flat, normal skin.

Approximately 40 minutes, allowing you to return to normal daily activities immediately. If the lesion is on your face, it is important that you are aware that we do not advise any makeup to be applied to the skin until after 48 hours.

This treatment is appropriate for most people and skin types. It isn’t recommended to have this treatment whilst you are pregnant or breast feeding or if you are taking anti-coagulants (blood thinners).
